We are a museum, an archive and a library and our collection celebrates the lives of women, charting their historical and contemporary achievements and contributions. We are the only Accredited Museum dedicated to women’s history in the whole of the UK and alongside our lending library, archive and museum collections, we offer innovative programmes of public events and learning opportunities.

This role requires attention to detail, a creative approach to challenges, and the ability to manage a wide-reaching workload. This job may be for you if you enjoy working with systems, streamlining procedures, supporting access to events, love being part of a busy team and care about empowering, supporting and celebrating women.

We particularly welcome applications from Women of Colour, disabled women, women living locally in the G40 postcode, and women who are often excluded from cultural spaces.

Glasgow Women’s Library is a feminist and change-making organisation and the team is imaginative, dedicated and hugely supportive of each other – would you like to join us?

Hi, I wanted to ask if the successful candidate for the temporary parental leave would have to be someone local in Glasgow? I am based in Edinburgh, and I cannot relocate at the moment but would be very interested in the role.

Hello Iina, and thanks for your query. Candidates do not need to be local to Glasgow, but it might be worth noting that this isn’t a remote-working position so commuting into the library building would be required. Thanks, Emily
