Support GWL as you shop

Did you know that you can raise money for Glasgow Women’s Library when you shop online without spending a penny extra?

GWL have signed up with the Easy Fundraising website. This acts as a portal to over 2000 well known internet sites such as Amazon, Ebay, Boots, HMV, Currys, Argos and many, many more. You still buy direct from there retailers but if you go into their sites via Easyfundraising they donate money to GWL and you pay no more than you would if you went direct! Many of the retailers also offer special discounts through the Easy Fundraising website so you could end up saving money!

It takes just a few minutes to go to the Easy Fundraising website and register, choosing Glasgow Women’s Library as your charity. Then every time you shop online GWL could benefit at no extra cost to you!

The only thing you have to do for GWL to receive a donation from the 2000 + participating companies is:

  1. Sign up to an account at, selecting Glasgow Women’s Library as your prefered charity on the sign up form
  2. Use their links to company websites (see the categories section on the left hand side or the popular links section on the right-hand side)
  3. Carry on buying as you normally would – you need do nothing more!

Examples of money we could receive include:

  • Amazon – 2.5% of what you spend (so for every £10 you spend GWL gets 25 pence and you pay nothing extra)
  • Boots – up to 5%
  • Marks & Spencers – 2.5%
  • HMV – up to 2%

…and many, many more. It may not sound like a huge amount but every penny really does count!

Even better – if you are thinking of changing your energy supplier, broadband supplier or your car, house, travel, even pet insurance, GWL could receive quite substantial amounts of money ranging from £5 to £50 pounds!  Have a look and see whether your preferred provider will give GWL a donation when you switch – the chances are they will.

And please don’t worry if you are not in the position to help us through online shopping. If you make your search engine (instead of Google or similar search sites) then you can still raise money for us just by doing a few searches every day.
