Tekla Hultin

Tekla Hultin, 1864-1943

“My name is Tekla Hultin and I was a suffragist from Finland. I was Finland’s second female doctor and made my name in the world of newspapers, science and politics – the world of men. I founded the Finnish Women’s Union in 1907. In 1908 I was elected as an MP and served until 1924. I worked to obtain improvements in the legal and social status of women.”
