Come on Board!

Glasgow Women’s Library wants to expand its team of Non-Executive Directors

What an exciting time to become involved with a unique organisation in Scotland.

With recent relocation to permanent premises and a capital renovation project imminent, GWL would like to extend an invitation to women to join our Board of Directors.

We are holding a ‘Champions’ Recruitment Information evening in GWL’s new premises at 23 Landressy Street, Bridgeton on Thursday 5th December, from 6pm to 8pm, aimed specifically at those interested in joining the Board and championing GWL.

‘Champions’ can support GWL in all sorts of ways, for instance by promoting our ‘Friends’ scheme. Or you might be interested in supporting GWL in other, more informal ways.

We are looking for women with a real belief in and passion for the work of GWL and ideally with skills, knowledge or experience in museums, HR, marketing, finance and fundraising. We would also love more diversity on our Board too and aim to recruit more BME and young women.

The evening will be an informal gathering, a chance to meet the GWL team and be inspired to play an active part in GWL’s bright future.

If you are interested in joining us as a Board member or as someone who could champion GWL in other ways, please come along.

Please contact Sue John at sue.john@womenslibrary.org.uk for more information or to confirm attendance.

Hi Karen – it really depends on what you’re able to do, although we are looking for women who can commit a lot of time and energy to championing GWL. There will be more information available at the event on December 5th.
