Women have always been active campaigners, from suffragettes fighting for the right to vote to women lobbying for equal pay and opportunities. This exhibition in partnership with Dundee Women’s Festival features unique materials from Glasgow Women’s Library’s museum and archive collection, from campaigning badges to posters and zines, and tells the stories of women who have challenged the politics of their time.
The Equality in Progress team are looking for Changemakers to tackle the issue of accessibility in the Museum sector. Come to one of our informal open sessions to find out more.
First performed in 2015, March of Women celebrated the lives and achievements of Scottish women past and present. In this documentary film, hear from the women involved as they talk about the heroines they chose to represent. After the film you’ll get the chance to join the discussion and create your own suffragette-style rosette with a message for women today.
Come along to a Seeing Things trip where we will have an early celebration of International Women's Day by seeing some clips from films exploring gender roles.
