Women Making It

Join us this spring for a range of GWL’s bitesize feminist crafting including block printing, collage art, candle print & design and much more.
In the next two sessions of Women Making It we will be weaving small baskets and art pieces. We will teach the basics of the coiling weave. Come connect with the natural and salvaged materials, as we open up a discussion of how weaving is tied to women’s history and lives.
The drop-in sessions are open to all women. We are especially keen for local women to use the GWL space for socialising, meeting like-minded women and take part in fun & creative learning.

Accessibility
Glasgow Women’s Library is wheelchair accessible, with lifts to the first floor and the Mezzanine Floor. We have accessible toilets and all the bathrooms are individual closed stalls and are gender neutral. Our larger Events Space is fitted with an induction loop. A portable induction loop is also available.

The event is free and for women only* (16+).
*All women-only events are inclusive of Trans and Intersex women, as well as non-binary and gender fluid people who are comfortable in a space that centres the experience of women.
