Spring 2024 Programme Launch and Spare Rib Magazine Sale
1st February , 1:00pm to 7:00pm
Join us to celebrate the launch of our Spring Programme! Enjoy a hot drink, pick up a copy of our new programme and hear from the GWL team about events and projects coming up this spring. We’re excited to announce that we will also be running our first dedicated archive sale, where you can get your hands on an iconic piece of feminist history! We will be selling our duplicate copies of Spare Rib Magazine throughout the event, the legendary feminist magazine that was published between 1972 and 1993.
We will also be joined by two local organisations. Learn more about local dance company Indepen-Dance at an information stall, and hear about the work of Firstport, and their programme for women who want to explore social entrepreneurship.
The afternoon launch will take place from 1pm to 3pm, with a building tour at taking place at 1:30pm and talks about upcoming events and local organisations at 2pm.
The evening launch will take place from 5pm to 7pm, with a building tour taking place at 5:30pm and talks about upcoming events and local organisations at 6pm.
