From the bustle of Sauchiehall Street to quiet and leafy back streets, this bohemian enclave is full of surprises and has been home to many remarkable women who have made Garnethill one of the most exciting cultural and multicultural hotspots in Glasgow.

Garnethill Women’s Heritage Walk

Booking
This event is open to all. There are two ticket options for this event: a £10 ticket and a £6 ticket. Our walks raise funds for the Library. Please choose the ticket which you feel most able to pay. We offer the £6 ticket if you are a Friend of GWL. All places must be paid for in advance as tour guides are not able to handle money on the day of the walk. Select the number of tickets you want to book below, or come in to the Library to book.
A week before the walk we will email all those who’ve booked with information including the meeting point for the walk. Please check your spam or junk email folders if you have not received this in your inbox. We ask that you do not bring dogs other than guide dogs along on the walks. Accessibility
This walk takes place on pavements around Garnethill and also crosses Garnethill Park where there are steps. This is a hilly area and some sections are steep whilst not all pavements have banisters. Our guides are happy to recommend and accompany attendees on different flatter routes to each stop, where possible.
