We’re recruiting!

Warm Welcome

We are seeking to appoint a Front of House Facilitator who will staff our Front of House as well as working with and supporting a team of volunteers to provide a warm welcome to all our visitors.

The centenary of women’s suffrage, shortlisting for the Museum of the Year award, our commission of Linder for Glasgow International and increased recognition of our work have all led to a steady growth in our visitor numbers.  We are committed to continuing to offer all visitors the warmest of welcomes, tailored to their interests and motivations for visiting, and to ensuring that everyone leaves GWL with the desire to return.

This new role, funded until 31 March 2019, will add capacity to the GWL team by staffing our Front of House as well as developing our team of new and existing Front of House volunteers, capitalising on and growing their interests, skills and expertise to widen access and enhance visitors’ interaction with GWL.

We are looking for someone with a passion for getting to know people, a commitment to widening access to what GWL offers, and experience of involving, supporting and nurturing volunteers. For more information about the role, please see the Job Description and Specification which can be downloaded below.
