Summer at the Library

Join our team for some interesting activities in and out of the library this summer. The summer programme starts Monday 4 July at 1pm with a Arts and Crafts session at the library.

Activities will take place on a weekly basis throughout July and August. You can attend as many of the events as you like – but you will need to book in advance (more details below).

The summer programme at Glasgow Women’s Library (GWL) aims to bring together women from diverse communities to take part in fun and creative activities where they can collectively visit places of interest in Glasgow. We aim to help women build their confidence in getting out and about in Glasgow and explore some of the key attractions. As well as this to learn about each others culture, customs and traditions and thus reflecting on the diverse communities that make up a multi-cultural Scottish society.

These events cost £3 each or free concession, for students, people on a low income, unemployed or in receipt of benefits – we do not ask for proof of this, it is done on a trust basis and you self evaluate your situation. The money goes towards cost of running these events, refreshments, travel and materials. Please note – the Tall Ships event is £4 as this is a set rate paid to the venue.
