New acquisitions

Well it’s been a busy last few months – preparing for museums accreditation, training volunteers, and organizing exhibitions and talks. We’ve also had a few new acquisitions; these include a couple of oral history collections – the Bolton Women’s Liberation Group Oral History Project archives and copies of seminars recorded throughout the UK as part of The Women’s Library’s Women’s Liberation Movement Research Network project sponsored by Leverhulme Trust. We’re hoping to screen some excerpts from the Edinburgh workshop at the CCA on 28 May at 7pm. For more details see: Firebrand Women and the F Word

We’ve also kindly received nineteen paintings from artist, Claire Galloway (see pictured). It is really exciting to receive these artworks and archives and I’d like to say a big thank you to all those who’ve donated them. Without people’s kind donations the library would not exist. Now I’ve just got to get on and catalogue them….
