GWL is going through exciting times, with expansion in its staff team, forthcoming relocation to the Mitchell Library and current scoping of the potential to attain accreditation as Scotland’s national Women’s Library.

Business Development Worker*
This new post will take the lead role in developing a range of social enterprise activities within GWL, generating income to support our charitable aims whilst complementing our existing services and activities. The successful candidate will be committed to equality and social justice, able to demonstrate specialist knowledge and expertise in business development and be a skilled and effective communicator.
Fixed term contract, this post is funded by the Scottish Government until 31st March 2011.
Salary: AP5 SCP 32 (£27,780 per annum)
Full time: 35 hours per week

Adult Literacy and Numeracy Project Development Worker
Required to undertake the further development of a core GWL provision. Previous experience of adult literacy and numeracy work and a knowledge of women’s and social exclusion issues are essential. The successful candidate will be based at Glasgow Women’s Library but will be involved in work with partner agencies and groups. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Fixed term contract, this post is funded by the Glasgow Community Learning Strategy Partnership / Glasgow City Council until 31st March 2011.
Salary: AP5 SCP 32 (£27,780 per annum)
