Wigtown Women’s Trail Group

Members of Wigtown Women’s Trail Group are busy researching and planning a fantastic women’s heritage walk in Wigtown, Dumfries and Galloway and you can follow their progress on the GWL website blog from the group.

The group have been researching their walk for a few months now and are planning to launch the walk in spring 2010. Kriss Nichol, one of the group members has started things off, reporting back on her attendance at the Paths for All national networking event in September:

“I thoroughly enjoyed the whole conference and the walk was really great.. it was most enjoyable with a great mix of information, sights/buildings and humour. I’ve recommended it to lots of friends for whenever they’re in Glasgow.

… it did inspire me. I took a group of Strollers out around Wigtown using a town trail leaflet which is concerned with the buildings and monuments and tried to use it as a taster for what is to come. They all enjoyed it and I felt pleased I’d picked up some tips on delivery”

Watch out on the GWL National Lifelong Learning blog for more news on their progress towards the launch of the Wigtown walk in 2010.
