I’ve now spent three weeks working full time at the library and am loving my new role. Thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome. It’s been great getting to know the rest of the team and meeting new people. There’s plenty to do with organizing the archive – ordering new eco-friendly archival boxes, box-listing, disaster planning (which hopefully we’ll never have to put into action!) and with exploring the best options for archival cataloguing. At the moment Laura, the librarian, and I are planning a grand autumn clear out. We’ll be looking for volunteers to help with this. I’ll also be looking for women to get more involved in working with the archive over the coming months, so watch this space…
