Blogcrastination

Came across Amy Lame’s term and immediately pledged to keep my own blogs short and sweet henceforth. So, a brief update: Book Sale? Successful (£700 profit, new contacts and members) Happy (a great team spirit, great choreographing of blobbed and boxed books to the sale ferried by Wendy and Sue in trusty car ‘Bubbles’, seamless rota-ing, fearless flyering on the day by the whole team) and Satisfying (1000+books, tables and general stuff moved out of 109 never to return).

Great ‘Flower Power’ session in the garden on Sunday with Pam So. Parveen brought the most delicious array of Iraqi culinary delicacies that were enjoyed en plein air by all and the buffeting wind cleared the cobwebs.

The empty streets and closed shops on the Trongate run are telling me I shouldn’t be here. And I shouldn’t be here as it is the last of a flurry of Bank Holidays but the 6 month monitoring form for Lifelong Learning funding is due and I am so delighted to have had it recently confirmed for another year (after it seemed likely to be cut) I just want to get this in and tell them (with no embroidering necessary) how brilliant our learners are!

Ok, I’ve already reneged on my promise, more punchy bulletins soon…
