CANCELLED! West End Women’s Heritage Walk

4th May, 2013, 2:00pm to 4:00pm

£7.50

Pipe smoking forewoman, Big Rachel illustration by Heather MiddletonUnfortunately we have to cancel this walk due to circumstances out with our control. Those who have booked on have been offered a refund or an alternative place on the West End Festival run of this event on Sunday 2nd June.

This pioneering women’s heritage walk reveals a hidden history of the West End of Glasgow: pipe-smoking forewomen, revolting schoolmistresses, and the unique car made by and for women. A unique and inspiring insight into the hitherto unsung women who made the West End.

Saturday 4th May, 2pm

Why not visit the fantastic An Clachan Cafe in Kelvingrove Park, the perfect refreshment stop for before or after your West End Walk? A big thank  you to An Clachan for supporting the work of the Library by helping us with printing costs.

Booking

This event costs £7.50 full price. You can purchase tickets direct from the library, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm or click here to book online.

All places must be paid for in advance as tour guides are not able to handle money on the day of the walk. Start point for the walk will be given in a confirmation email once payment is received.

Unfortunately on this occasion we are unable to offer free or subsidised places on our Women’s Heritage Walks.

If you are not able to attend the above walk then you could always download our audio tour version and do the walk at a time that suits you. Currently available in English and German.
