Seeing Things visit to Maud Sulter, Streetlevel Photoworks, June 2014
Seeing Things visit to Maud Sulter, Streetlevel Photoworks, June 2014

Seeing Things are going to see a new show by the artist Rachel Lowther, Nothing compares to the first time getting shot at. Lowther has created works which explore the nature of war, using the Art School’s World War 1 archive collections as a starting point for thinking about how artists can reflect on war and conflict. More information on the exhibition is available here

GSA have kindly offered to give us a tour of the show, so it will be a really nice opportunity to learn a little more about the work and the artist.

We’ll meet just outside the Reid Building (opposite the main Mackintosh building) at 2.50pm so we are ready to go into the exhibition for 3pm. If you arrive late, please find us in the main exhibition space which is on the ground floor of the Reid building.

The trip, and all Seeing Things group activities, are open to all women who want to find out and see more art in Glasgow. Please come along, or email alice.andrews@womenslibrary.org.
