Mapping Memorials to Women in Scotland: An introduction to using the Women of Scotland website in Edinburgh. Come along to find out how you can help put Scotland’s women on the map.

Tuesday 7th August, 2pm-4pm, Edinburgh Central Library

The Women of Scotland website is an exciting new project for locating and recording memorials to women throughout Scotland. We want to build the website into a comprehensive national resource that everyone can use and enjoy, and we need your help to find and record memorials celebrating women in Scotland. The more you can discover, the more useful the map will become.

This training session will introduce the Women of Scotland website and show you how to add local memorials you have found, as well as how to upload images of memorials and add biographies of the women commemorated.

More information about the Women of Scotland project can be found at womenofscotland.org.uk. You can also find us on Facebook (facebook.com/womenofscotland), or follow us on Twitter (@womenofscotland).

This is a free event but we do need you to book in advance.
