Reaping the Awards in 2016!

Let’s be honest, everyone loves some encouragement; to be told that you’re doing well. It’s a real morale boost, and at Glasgow Women’s Library we are all thrilled when this happens, so to be recognised for excellence through the winning of awards really does make our day – and has certainly made our year.

Join us in celebrating 25 years of Glasgow Women’s Library

Today marks the first day of our 25th Birthday month – and year! We feel that this milestone is really worth celebrating, and so we are proud to launch a year of reflection, celebration and planning for the future – and we want you to be involved.

Signs of Progress at 23 Landressy Street

We are very excited to report that the internal works relating to the former ‘men’s reading room’ (we really must find a new name for this cracking new space!) are now complete for this phase, and the keys will be handed to us on Monday 7th September.

Help us build our future as part of the GWL Board

Do you share our vision of a world in which women’s historical, cultural and political contributions to society are fully recognised, valued and celebrated by all? Glasgow Women’s Library is recruiting to its team of Non-Executive Directors.

We’d like your feedback about Glasgow Women’s Library

Having relocated to permanent premises, with a major capital renovation project imminent, GWL is at the most exciting stage of development in its 23 year history. This is a good time to gather feedback from those we value the most – our users and supporters, without whose input GWL could not have been developed and sustained so successfully.

Creating a Women of the Games Legacy Collection

As these wonderful Games draw to an end, Glasgow Women’s Library would like to build a collection of artefacts and memorabilia to mark and celebrate the achievements of women involved for future generations to enjoy, be inspired by and learn from.
