Scotland’s first ever festival for Scottish women’s writing returns for its third edition. Expect creative workshops, in-depth discussions, open mic sessions and plenty of performances from the best literary talent this country has to offer. There are three events taking place as part of Open the Door festival at Glasgow Women’s Library, please book separately for events you’d like to attend.
Join us for Open the Door’s opening night, with literary headliners Liz Lochhead, Claire Askew and Juana Adcock celebrating the lives of three Scottish women writers who may be lost but are certainly not forgotten. Taking Glasgow Women’s Library’s characteristic Herland format, we’ll be raising a toast to the work of Agnes Owens, Naomi Mitchison and Janet Paisley, in a festive extravaganza bound to get you inspired.
