Memory is a Weapon is created by South African theatre practitioner Firdoze Bulbulia. Drawing inspiration from the Adinkra symbol of the Sankofa bird, which means ‘reach back and get it’, this event draws together Black women artists and activists from Scotland and across the world to reflect and reimagine new futures during and post-COVID-19.
Join us for the launch of a unique, collaborative video essay intertwined with spoken word, storytelling, and musical performances.
The screening of ‘Memory is a Weapon’ will go live at 7.30pm on 13 Nov, and will be available to view for 48 hours. The film is free to view and is available here: www.africa-in-motion.
