Digital Volunteering Project

The Volunteering Programme was part funded between April 2022 and November 2023 by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to embed and develop digital volunteering roles at GWL. During this period volunteers were trained and supported to create digital outputs highlighting and capturing GWL’s work, collections and history, as well as provide ongoing support with cataloguing and listing library and archive collections, data entry, and other roles involving the use of IT and digital technologies.

How to Guides:

The following How To Guides were created to enable volunteers to create accessible digital outputs (blogs, podcasts, photos and audio files). We hope they can be used or adapted by other organisations involving volunteers.

  • How to post a blog on WordPress
  • How to take digital photos using a digital SLR camera

These resources have been created and shared thanks to National Lottery players.
