About the logos
Adele Patrick talks about the origins of the GWL logo and the other featured logos from GWL’s history in this blog post. GWL’s ‘Walking woman’ logo and the Woman in Profile logo were designed by Adele, the ‘Jobs for the Girls’ logo by Rachael Harris, and the ‘Women at Work’ logo by Julie Roberts. The GWL Festive logo was adapted from our ‘walking woman’ logo by volunteer Heather Tulloch.
The Lesbian Avengers were a direct-action group originally founded in 1992 in New York to highlight lesbian issues and visibility, with groups setting up across the world, including in Glasgow by members of GWL. The distinctive cartoon bomb logo was designed by Carrie Moyer.
