This exhibition draws on research undertaken into some of the key figures of the Women’s Peace Crusade highlighting a sample of some of their incredible achievements. From Glasgow based activists such as Helen Crawfurd, to national and international figures such as Rosa Manus the research, curated by Fiona Dean and developed in collaboration with staff and volunteers at GWL, has tried to uncover lost connections between the lives and activities of individuals associated with the WPC.

This exhibition of portraits, created by a group of young Scottish women, explores self-expression through photography. Inspired by an exhibition of Jo Spence’s work at Still’s Gallery in Edinburgh, the group created characters to tell their own stories, drawing from personal experience, role models and fictional personalities.
