We’ll celebrate the life of Scottish artist Georgina Smith through an exhibition of her lino prints. Inspired by her environment and the people close to her, her artwork often incorporates elements from her own life, including her anti-nuclear activism, for which she was imprisoned many times.
This small, interactive exhibition draws on a new open-access digital archive at GWL to reveal ‘transoceanic’ networks that stretched across the Atlantic and Pacific in the 1980s and 90s, linking Greenham women and Indigenous communities.
Artist Ailie Rutherford has been working with us to visualise the complex nature of work and care for many women. This exhibition will display prints and other outcomes from the Mapping Women’s Work workshop series at GWL.
