From Glasgow Women’s Library – souvenirs to empower and celebrate women’s history, Thursday 1st March to Thursday 8 March, is a series of events organised in partnership with Craft Scotland’s ‘Meet Your Maker’ programme, marking a yearlong collaboration with design curators Panel to develop a new, limited edition collection of library souvenirs. Launching this exclusive series of products inspired by our collections.
Donna Wilson, best known for her knitted creatures, textiles, home-wares and furniture is in conversation with Franki Finch a specialist in model making and model design work.
With an impressive portfolio of awards, commissions and solo exhibitions, Donna Wilson is best known for her knitted creatures, textiles, homewares and furniture. Her work takes inspiration from her childhood growing up in the Scottish countryside and the everyday oddities and deformities of life.
Based in Glasgow, Finch & Fouracre undertakes modelmaking and model design work, specialising in commissioned architectural and exhibition models, and producing model kits for retail.
