Story Cafe Group in the library

Think lunchtime is just about what’s on your sandwich? Well, think again! Pull up a chair at our weekly Story Café, sit back with your cuppa and travel the world one tale at a time.

Story Cafe Group in the libraryWe read all different styles of writing from the wealth of women writers on our shelves sharing ideas, thoughts and experiences over a cuppa.

You don’t have to read anything in advance, so it’s great if you want to get back into reading, but are struggling to find the time, or would just like to listen to stories being read aloud.

Thursdays from 4th February to 24th March and then from 14th April to 19th May at 12.30pm-2.30pm

We’ve read about barefoot, pioneering climbers in Snowdonia, globe-trotting, fearless matriarchs from India, and fabled heroines on dangerous quests in Afghanistan. Who knows where our Story Café and its wild and wonderful literary women will take us next? Go on, reinvent your lunchtime!

Find out more about our special guests this Spring:
