In response to our exhibition marking the centenary of the birth of wonderful Scottish-based artist Joan Eardley, we’re delighted to offer three creative writing workshops between December and February. You are welcome to come to one or come to all. To search all workshop dates please see here.
Whether you’re a regular writer or never picked up a pen before, these workshops are supportive, fun and filled with prompts to help you explore Joan’s paintings through your writing. Come to one, or come to all – our facilitators, GWL’s Nadine and Donna, are looking forward to striking the creative spark with you.
Whether sketching children in the busy backstreets of Glasgow’s east end, or painting wild and lonely landscapes in the fishing village of Catterline on Scotland’s north-east coast, Joan Eardley’s powerful paintings show the realities of life in the mid-twentieth century.
We have another creative writing session in response to Joan Eardley on the 5th of February, you can find out more information and book your spot here
