Herland: Our Lives in Protest

Friday, 6th October, 2023 , 7:00pm to 10:30pm

£16.00
A quote reads 'Because the night belongs to Wimmin blazing banging saucepan tins' by Jackie Kay. It is bold text on a blue and red background

Our first Herland in years and what better way to mark its return than with a celebration of all the big and little ways we live our lives in protest. Back by popular demand, our legendary accessible salon night will have at its centre Jackie Kay’s incredible poem ‘A Life in Protest’, a salute to GWL and Ingrid Pollard’s 2021 exhibition No Cover Up, with responses in poetry from Blaq Pearl and others. There will be music, food, song, dance and spoken words celebrating radicalism in all its forms.

Expect a memorable, magical, night with more details to be announced soon!
