Come along and meet Magi Gibson, the new Reader in Residence at Glasgow Women’s Library!
Glasgow Women’s Library, 15 Berkeley Street
Saturday 17th November, 2.30pm to 3.30pm
Best known for her best-selling poetry collection, Wild Women of a Certain Age, as well as her Wild Women Writing Workshops, Magi will kick off with a taster performance of some of her writing, before presenting a short showcase featuring writers from her Glasgow Wild Women Writing Workshop.
There will be time to ask Magi any questions you might have about her post with GWL, as well as an opportunity to suggest anything you’d like her to organise in the library. Oh, and there will be tea/coffee and cake too!
Magi will be based in the library for the next eight months. You’ll see her sifting through the collections and taking part in both reading and writing events. You can make an appointment for a one-to-one session where she can advise you on new and fresh directions for your reading, or if you’re a budding writer, book an appointment with Magi for advice and encouragement.
Check out Magi’s first blog as Reader in Residence with the library.
This event is free of charge but please book a place so that we can ensure that we have enough tea, coffee and cake for everyone. Booking is also important in case there are any changes to the event. Please click here to book your free place(s) or contact us on 0141 248 9969 for more information.
GWL wishes to thank Scottish Book Trust who are funding this post.
