Hi Everyone!!!
Im Jilly and I have just started a fourteen week placement here at the Glasgow Women’s Library. Can I just say that I am sooooooooo excited to be here!
I just wanted to take some time to introduce myself. I have just completed my second year studying Community Education at Strathclyde University. This means that (finger’s crossed!!) by this time next year I will be graduating and hopefully will have secured a job working in the field of Community Based Adult Learning.
So over the next few months you will see me around the library. Feel free to say hello!!! If anyone wants to ask me any questions about the course I am doing or just questions about me in general (although im not that interesting he he) please feel free to ask. Id be happy to have a wee chat (preferably with a cup of tea.)
Can I also just say a big thank you to everyone at GWL for making me feel so welcome. I feel so lucky to have gained a placement here as it is such a relaxed an friendly environment.

As a fellow student who also has her placement with the GWL – I can totally agree with your comments – they are a great bunch of people and the atmosphere in the Library is so very welcoming.
If there is anything I can do to assist you with your placement, offer support – a shoulder to cry on lol – then please feel free to give me a call. I will probably see you there this week and we can get a chat and a cuppa.
