Kvindemuseet’s focus areas are gender culture past and present on the basis of women’s history, including changes in gender terms and relationships over time and diversity in living conditions across gender, sexual orientation, androgynous and ethnicity. Equality is for everyone and for further gender perspective is essential to focus on gender, so everyone can have their say. As an active and modern museum institution to Women’s Museum in Denmark continue to work to involve museum visitor directly in the exhibitions by creating curiosity, dialogue, reflection and knowledge about the importance of sex – historically, currently and in the future.
