We’ll use writing and other creative activities including crafts and music to help victims and survivors of oppression and trauma share, understand, and forge new written narratives at these creative writing workshops. Learn new ways to use your voice with experienced guest poets and authors Elaine Gallagher, Victoria Shropshire, and Sarah Tytler.
Each three-hour workshop will encourage, facilitate, and guide you in meaningful discourse, and introduce helpful skills and tools in order to creatively engage and develop your voice. You’ll have the opportunity to create fun and low-pressure craft projects, listen to music, watch short films, and write and craft in response to your own experiences and the experiences of the workshop.
Lunch is included, and will be an excellent opportunity to meet others in a friendly, relaxed and safe environment. All facilitators are professional authors and poets who themselves have first-hand experience with trauma, marginalisation, and reclaiming their voice.
Join for one or both sessions. Both sessions are BSL interpreted.
