Wool you join us for our Christmas Open Archive? Dip into our collection of knitting patterns from the last hundred years for some purls of wisdom.
Discover woollen swimming costumes, winter warmers, mini-dresses and knitted craftivist items, including our set of pussy hats. If you feel inspired, bring along your own knitting or use our patterns to help us develop our handling collections over a warming cup of tea and a mince pie.
On Saturday 21st September, we have our first Open Archive event this Autumn, where we’ll be looking at Spare Rib magazine. Find out more here.
This event is a drop-in session, but there will be an introduction to the materials near the beginning of the session. It is free to attend, open to all, and there is no need to book.
Glasgow Women’s Library is wheelchair accessible, with lifts to the first floor and the Mezzanine Floor. We have accessible toilets and all the bathrooms are individual closed stalls and are gender neutral. Our larger Events Space is fitted with an induction loop. A portable induction loop is also available. For paid events free companion tickets are available.
Find more information on Accessibility at GWL or contact us and we will be very happy to offer assistance.
