‘Kindness (noun)- the quality of being gentle, caring and helpful’
So much has happened over this past year, and it’s been a hugely difficult, unprecedented time for people the world over. But amidst a global pandemic, kindness has flourished, sometimes in surprising ways, and that’s something worth celebrating.
Story Café Special: On Kindness, Thursday 11th February, 1pm to 2.30pm, Online, Women only, 16+
We’ll be finding joy and solace in stories and poems that are brimful of kind deeds and gentle words, whilst reflecting on our own experiences of kindness and how they shape us and our communities.
Pull up a comfy chair and join us! A warm (and kind!) welcome guaranteed.
This event is supported by the Carnegie UK Trust’s Creating Space for Kindness project. Glasgow Women’s Library is part of their network of Champions for Libraries and Kindness. You can find out more here.
‘I’m de-stressed which was just what I needed today. It gave me chance to stop and be in my own thoughts for an hour or so.’ – Story Café participant
