Story Café

Let Story Café be a haven to you this Autumn, as we immerse ourselves in tales of headstrong heroines, awe-inspiring adventurers and luminous landscapes. From Indian folklore to beloved Scottish writers, each week we’ll travel the world, one tale at a time.

Story Café, Thursdays 13th and 20th September, 4th and 25th October, and 1st November to 13th December, 12.30pm to 2.30pm, £2/Free, Women only

Story Café is great if you’re new to reading, are struggling to find the time to read, or just want to sit back, relax and enjoy listening to stories and poems being read aloud. It’s the perfect way to try new types of writing, and it’s also a brilliant way to meet new people! We love to see new faces around the table, so why not top up your cuppa from our bottomless teapot and become part of the story.

Booking

This event is for women only* and there is no need to book. This event costs £2 full price and you can pay on the day. We offer subsidised and/or free places for students, people on a low income, unemployed or those in receipt of benefit and Friends of GWL.

*All women-only events are inclusive of Trans and Intersex women, as well as non-binary and gender fluid people.
