To celebrate the launch of the Women’s Liberation, Music Making in the UK, 1970 to 1989 exhibition we are calling all music lovers to come along to our launch event at the library.
There will be tea and buns and the organisers of the exhibition will be there to talk about the works and answer any questions you might have. Also, if you are musically inclined at all feel free to bring a guitar for an informal musical interlude. Pull up a seat and start to strum, a sort of informal open mic night if you like. Perhaps if you are part of a singing group you can come along and sing a song for us. Or just come along, enjoy the exhibition and have a nice warming cup of tea.
The exhibition will then be open Monday to Friday, 10am to 4.30pm (or by appointment) and we will have a special workshop and exhibition tour on Saturday 3rd November following the monthly Space for Song singing group (which you are welcome to join) where women will be singing songs around women’s liberation.
This event is free of charge and we’d prefer you to book so we know how many buns to buy. Please click here to book your free place(s).
