In the year that Glasgow hosts the Commonwealth Games, GWL is exploring contemporary writing by Commonwealth women.
Fridays, 3rd October to 21st November, 1pm to 3pm (£2/free)
In these weekly sessions we read together stories and poems reflecting women’s experiences from Antigua to Sri Lanka, from Canada to Australia. Join us to discover writers we haven’t heard of before, and along the way learn about women’s lives in the many Commonwealth countries. A relaxed and supportive group. Led by Reader in Residence Magi Gibson.
These events each cost £2.00 full price, you can pay on the day. We offer subsidised and/or free places for students, people on a low income, unemployed or those in receipt of benefit and Friends of GWL. Please click here or call us on 0141 550 2267 to register your interest and have your name added to the Read, Relax, Recharge mailing list so we can keep you informed about the groups.
These sessions are women only and there is disabled access. Come when you can.
