Artist and filmmaker, Jan Nimmo, has been making work about banana workers since 2000. Her aim, through testimony and portrait, is to put a human face to a commodity we all take for granted. Her main focus has been Latin America, where she has made field trips to Ecuador, Costa Rica and Panama. Last year she had the opportunity to visit Cameroon, Central Africa, to film workers’ testimonies and to take portraits.
