Join us for a Story Café Special where we hear from Jane Healey, author of The Animals at Lockwood Manor.
Jane’s debut novel The Animals at Lockwood Manor is a ghostly, gothic love story and was just released this year! The story opens as the animals of the natural history museum are evacuated to a sinister country house during the second world war. Listen to Jane discuss her novel and all things writing at this online Story Cafe with GWL’s own Nadine Aisha Jassat as chair. The format of this event will be a discussion between Nadine and Jane, including a reading from the book, followed by an audience Q&A.
Jane Healey studied English Literature at Warwick University. She has been shortlisted for the Bristol Short Story Prize, the Costa Short Story Award, the Commonwealth Short Story Prize and the Penguin Random House WriteNow mentoring programme. The Animals at Lockwood Manor is her first novel. She lives in Edinburgh, and has previously been a member of our Create and Connect creative writing series.
This is one of our “attend” events – you can sit back, relax and listen to Jane and Nadine talk about the book, with the added option to ask questions at the end if you’d like to!
