If you’ve been in and around the Library you will know how much fun we have been having writing and illustrating letters of love and honour to lost heroines. As part of Book Week Scotland, we are hosting another in our exciting series of Illuminated Letters workshops.
Tuesday 26th November
12pm to 2pm (free)
We will be focussing on your favourite fictional women. Did the optimistic outlook of Pollyanna inspire you, or Anne of Green Gables’ joyful way of looking at life make you look at your own life in a different way? Would you like to write to Elizabeth Bennett and tell her how proud you were of her for her wit, honesty and sparkiness despite the petty, class-bound society she lived in? Or even, perhaps, thank Lisbeth Salander for reassuring you that revenge is a dish served deliciously, chillingly, scarily cold?
Come and be inspired and have fun. And, if you can’t make the workshop, we will have suggestions and materials available all week, so just pop in and write to your literary heroine.
This event is free of charge. Please click here to book your free place(s) or contact us on 0141 248 9969 for more information.
