This dusk gathering with be the last opportunity to see HAKOTO performed by Reiko Goto Collins in the fruit tree nursery developed as part of the exhibition Peace Arbour for Glasgow International Festival 2024.
Reiko will be wearing a specially developed instrument that interacts with trees in unique ways, translating changes in light, temperature and moisture experienced by the tree into sound. Each performance creates a different soundscape, changing with the atmosphere in the garden and responding to the leaves as they breathe.
Following the performance will be a discussion facilitated by Reiko.

Glasgow Women’s Library is wheelchair accessible, with lifts to the first floor and the Mezzanine Floor. We have accessible toilets and all the bathrooms are individual closed stalls and are gender neutral. Our larger Events Space is fitted with an induction loop. A portable induction loop is also available.
