In an exciting collaboration with the Glasgow Film Theatre’s youth initiative, Pop-Up Programmers, we are proud to bring you a rare screening of the classic STV Production of Tony Roper’s The Steamie in this year’s Glasgow Film Festival. We will be serving free afternoon tea after the matinee performance.
For a nostalgic look back at old Glasgow we will be showing archived footage of the city at Glasgow Green and to accompany you to each location there will be two guided walks that will take in some of the stops from our East End Women’s Heritage Walk:
From the Library to the Green, 4.30pm
From the Green to the Library, 5.30pm (arriving at the Library for the 7pm screening)
This is a free event, to book your place at this event please click here or pop in to the Library to pick up tickets. Tickets are free but early reservation is advised.
There is no requirement to book for the walks, spaces will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. Meet at the Library at 4.25pm or meet at the Drying Greens on Glasgow Green at 5.25pm.
