Please note that this event is now fully booked. You can still download our East End Women’s Heritage Walk audio tour in English, French, German and Polish and do the walk in your own time. We also have led walks taking place in Garnethill, Merchant City and the Necropolis in April and May – check our events calendar.
Part of our Glasgow International programme of events. Researched and led by learners and volunteers at the Library, this women’s heritage walk uncovers the hidden heroines of Glasgow’s East End. Experience the walk that inspired the works by Ruth Barker and Kim Moore and that explores this vibrant area of the city.
If you are interested in finding out more about the women who worked in the Templeton factory, Suffragettes who were held in Duke Street Prison, or the woman who set up the Barras (and many more) then this is the perfect way to spend your afternoon.
This is a free event, to book your place at this event please click here. Book early to avoid disappointment.
