Come and hear the short-listed writers from our Dragon’s Pen writing competition read their stories in front of our panel of tame but talented dragons including published writers and Women’s Library staff. Don’t worry, their aim is to support and encourage all writers, rather than roast them over a slow flame.

Why not be bold and submit your stories to our annual Dragon’s Pen writing competition. This year the theme is Illuminate: you can interpret this in any way you like. Last year’s competition was a huge success with over 180 entires. From Thursday 3rd October you can send us your poems and stories for this year’s competition (up to 1000 words and only one entry per person in each category please). Closing date for entries is Friday 15th November 2013. Email your entry to us at info@womenslibrary.org.uk
