As part of this year’s Open the Door Festival, we’re thrilled to be working with the African Writers Trust (AWT) in Kampala, whose work supports and promotes connections between African writers in the Diaspora and on the continent.
Their anthology, Threads and Faces: Stories on Identity and Belonging, celebrates new work by emerging writers, with a particular focus on memoir and personal stories.
We’re delighted to be welcoming some brilliant women writers, who will be reading from the anthology and reflecting on their own transformative writing journeys. We’ll also be joined by Racheal Kizza from African Writer’s Trust. It’s the perfect way to spend your afternoon!
