Time to celebrate the return of spring with a special Story Café exploring poems and writings about the enchanting world of the honey bee.
Our warm and welcoming Story Café is the perfect way to relax over lunchtime and be introduced to some of the books from our lending library. Bring along a bite to eat, grab a cuppa, and enjoy listening to wonderful short stories, novel extracts and poems by women writers from around the world.
For this Honey Bee Special we will provide tasty honey-based snacks and discover tales of queen bees, beehives, bee stings and other wonderful bee-themed stories.
We’ve read about barefoot, pioneering climbers in Snowdonia, globe-trotting, fearless matriarchs from India, and fabled heroines on dangerous quests in Afghanistan. Who knows where our Story Café and its wild and wonderful literary women will take us next?
These events are for women only and suitable for 16+. Each event costs £2.00 full price, you can pay on the day.
