The Tartan Skirt was a zine established in 1992 as The Scottish Magazine for the Gender Community, and by this 1999 edition it was known as The Magazine of the Scottish Transgender Community. The publication featured a range of pieces; articles offering practical advice and creative writing from Trans authors. GWL has a few copies of The Tartan Skirt as part of the Trans Archive.
