Home E-Zine

We’re thrilled to share Home, an online e-zine made by Glasgow Women’s Library’s Spring Create and Connect Group, 2020. Read below to learn all about Create and Connect, and the e-zine.

About Create and Connect

Create and Connect is a quarterly writing group for women and non-binary or gender non-conforming folks to meet together to connect to our writing and to a community of writers, and to create new work and networks. The groups run per quarter, following the women’s library seasonal programmes, and quarter on quarter we are seeing full groups of writers developing on their journeys to expanding and energising their work. The Spring Create and Connect group was facilitated by writer, journalist and educator, Titilayo Farukuoye.

Home E-Zine

The Spring Create and Connect sessions moved online from March 2020 when lockdown began in Scotland. The groups continued to meet, write together and support each other.

Here is Titilayo’s introduction to this zine: Writing in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the poets drew inspiration from their own kitchen tables, living rooms and window views, their memories, thoughts, homes, minds and hearts.

The work is created by the participants and is therefore not the property of GWL. Thank you everyone for your writing responses, and may we all keep creating and connecting!
