NMRD Object of the Month: Chaos on the Clyde Programme

Established in 2012, the National Museum of Roller Derby (NMRD) is the UK’s first permanent collection of ephemera and memorabilia relating to the sport of Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby. Our ‘Object of the Month’ celebrates objects from our ever expanding collections.

We want your old team shirts, flyers, zines and other paraphernalia to illustrate the remarkable development of the sport in the UK. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for future announcements on how to donate items to the Museum.

February 2020

Colour printed programme for Chaos on the Clyde, an International Roller Derby Tournament presented by Glasgow Roller Derby on 25th & 26th August 2012. It featured six of Europe’s best roller derby teams from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Sheffield, London, and Stuttgart. Irn Bruisers (a Glasgow Roller Derby team) took the gold and this was also the same year they became a full league member of the WFTDA (Women’s Flat Track Derby Association). In 2019 Chaos on the Clyde 2 returned with only four teams competing including the hosts Glasgow Roller Derby, along with Kent Roller Derby, Liverpool Roller Birds, and Auld Reekie All-Stars Reserves with the host taking the win for a second time.
